Project summary

The Walls Project - organiser of Waterford Walls International Street Art Festival - presents ‘North x South East (NxSE)’, a cross-border all island street art collaboration between Waterford (IRE) and Belfast (NI). NxSE will support Italian street artist Raffaele Muraca in developing his skills and profile while forging international links and showcasing his art at the largest street art events on the island of Ireland. Street art is a universal language and the perfect medium to open new avenues for exchange and integration.

Raffaele Muraca

Biography: Raffaele Muraca is a visual artist with work experience in prop and float making, set design and mural art. Raffaele grew up in Milan where he first began painting graffiti and street art. His background as a graffiti artist mainly focuses on neon effects, bright colour mash-ups and geometric designs. Raffaele studied fine art in school and then at Brera Art Academy in Milano and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Art & Art Facilitation. Raffaele is currently developing his signature style mixing graffiti and mural techniques to create community-focused murals.
