Project summary

Kanuti Gildi SAAL, the organiser of SAAL Biennaal is organising an exchange project with partner festivals ANTI in Finland and Homo Novus in Latvia to offer a residency opportunity for performing arts duo Keithy Kuuspu and Liisa Saaremäel. The duo is in development process of their piece Body Slam: RAW a third piece in a trilogy, where the central material in research is clay, RAW dwells into the materials undone form. Artists bring with them the ironic standpoint of their generation (the millennials) who grew up watching MTV with their hands in the mud. Two women, uninterested in achieving steadiness neither on stage nor in the social sphere, explore the relationship between material and body, giving rawness a form.
