Project summary

Early Music needs to connect with new audiences and find new formats to present music from the past. Cantoria proposes “breaking the fourth wall” in their new concert formats to connect directly with the audience and putting them at the centre of the performance. In this residency, they will explore new ways of conveying historical and spiritual music to any audience regardless of age, belief, background, or even how they may see life: a new dramaturgy and a new liturgy to reach more people in a more meaningful way, turning the audience's experience from listening to living it first hand, in an emotional and communicative manner. Additionally, Cantoria will explore with bigger casts and will pass on their production and career development experience to new classical music groups.
