Artist

Péter-Róbert Szabó

Biography: Péter Róbert Szabó is a Hungarian architect and builder based in Budapest but working both in Hungary and Romania (his country of birth). His work focuses on scale-independent forms of architectural expression using multiple materials. He designs buildings but also installations and stages for festivals which he also builds. He started to work on small-scale architectural installations during his university years doing collaborations with studios from Budapest (like S`39 Hybrid Manufacture, Blokk Architectural Studio, etc.) and after that started to do commissions for major festivals like Sziget Festival and Electric Castle Festival. In 2019 after designing and building an installation to the artist residence Field of Sparks, he became the project's head of architecture.
