Project summary

The proposed programme is designed as an initiative of “Od malih nogu” platform (OMN) - a platform active in Southeast Europe (SEE) aiming to promote regional co-operation in children and youth theatre while seeking to elevate recognition for artists and cultural practitioners in this field. This programme specifically addresses the needs of emerging writers by providing a peer-to-peer support system. Three artists from SEE countries will participate in a two-week intensive residency at the FEP festival, followed by a three-month online mentoring programme. Partnering festivals will contribute with their expertise and promotional support. Additionally, the artists' dramatic texts will be digitally published as part of the programme.

EmpowerInk Writers Collective: Ivona Marciuš, Dunja Matić, Milana Matejić

Biography: The EmpowerInk Writers Collective consists of three young talented writers from three different countries in our region: Ivona Marciuš (Croatia), Dunja Matić (Serbia), Milana Matejić (Montenegro). Their dedication, passion and desire to create for the young - the most sincere and demanding audience - is what unites them. The purpose of the EmpowerInk Writers Collective is to spark a wave of new original texts for young audiences, to empower motivation for creating such texts among young generations of artists in our region, which often lacks attention to this aspect. The EmpowerInk Writers Collective presents an experimental model that has a great potential to become the new good practice in the field of theatre for young audiences.
