Project summary

It is with great pleasure that we come together to support the project of this young Greek artist: Fotini Stamatelopoulou. Mir Festival in Athens, SPRING Performing Arts Festival in Utrecht and Latitudes Contemporaines in Lille, three festivals are joining forces to support this young artist's project. In this creation, Near Misses, the aim is to carry out research that will lead to the creation of a performance/sound work that emerges from a set of ceremonials linked to protective objects (ex-votos) and protective clothing. The physical acts - relating to life and death, identity and sexuality - radiate through a sense of persistence, rage and calm.
