Project summary

Science is currently developing different methods of making the atomic world tangible through sound. By correlating bright lines within the atomic spectra with audible tones, individual atomic notes can be identified to create atomic sounds that allow one to "see" their music. Atomic Sounds is a fun new way to explore the atomic world through musical synthesis techniques. Can micro-movements of nature be experienced in interference with the cultural design of movements as sound (Green Soundscapes)? The artist will develop a new sound art composition on this topic as a work-in-progress as part of her residency. The Klangzeit Festival develops a climate-friendly mission statement that includes ideas, strategies and visions on sustainability.
