Project summary

The (W)hole, created by theatre director Lyto Triantafyllidou, is an original theatre production inspired by Chronis Missios, an activist who endured imprisonment and torture for his political convictions. It explores his famous quote: "My generation failed to change the world, but at least I did not let the world change me." The play re-examines his perspective amidst recent economic and political crises in Southern Europe. It delves into the story of a man holding steadfast to his ideals, choosing love for an ideal over materialism. The audience is challenged to contemplate the significance of remaining true to core beliefs in a constantly evolving world. To change or remain unchanged? That is the question.
