Project summary

The idea of the project stemmed primarily from the desire for three International puppet festivals (Croatia, Serbia and Italy) to connect with each other and to co-operate through the promotion of The Dirtz Theatre who specialised in an art combination of contemporary dance and puppetry. This kind of art expression is not so well known in the area where the festivals take part. For this , Dirtz Theatre is a very good choice, because in their creations they combine the art of puppetry with dance, giving this art a new dimension at a highly professional level. Their play, Short Stories, is very suitable for presentation in three countries, both to the public and to professionals in an area where they have not performed before. The idea will also include a masterclass workshop.

Biography: The DÍRTZ Theater was born in 2018 at the initiative of Jolanda Löllmann and Charlie Denat, artists navigating the frontiers of dance, circus and puppetry. Based on body language, their work is an invitation for the spectator to create together and for the time of a show imaginary realities. Established in 2021 in Ardèche, the company is Associate Artist at Théâtre les quinconces - Vals les Bains (07) and L'Arsenic (47) for the 2021/2022 season. The company performs at local, national and European level. It participates in several territorial projects and has an educational activity concerning a professional, amateur and school audience. Created in 2021, their first project, ShortStories is a triptych of short forms broadcast indoors and outdoors. They offer different courses.
