Project summary

In this project, choreographers Catarina Casqueiro & Tiago Coelho will work for the co-creation of “Forget Me Not”. To achieve this, different residencies will be occurring in the countries of the leading and three partner Festivals fostering the contact with different European contexts. The work developed by the duo will be enriched with contributions from recognised artists dealing with the same subjects: dance, body and memory. These contributions will happen during the residencies and also in online meetings with the participation of all organisations involved. The “Forget Me Not” project, led by Quinzena de Dança de Almada, will bring together many international creative minds present in the different festivals, collaborating in the exchange of ideas and experiences.

Catarina Casqueiro & Tiago Coelho

Biography: Catarina Casqueiro & Tiago Coelho are a contemporary dance creation duo since 2018. They have presented their works at several national and international festivals: Quinzena de Dança de Almada (Portugal), 10Sentidos Festival (Spain), International Choreography Competition (Germany), Paralelo Fest (Portugal), Jerusalem International Dance Competition 2022 (Israel), and the 21st Daejeon New Dance International Festival (South Korea). In 2021, they were invited by Companhia de Dança de Almada to create "Deux Same". In 2023, the work 'Matonari No Nai' premiered at the SoloDuo Festival in Cologne, (Germany) winning the Audience Award; they performed at the Straybirds Dance Platform (Taiwan), and at the Linkage International Choreography Competition (Bulgaria), where it won 3rd place and the Public Award.
