Project summary
During the residency artist Nina Khyznha aims to explore the theme of body in the context of living through massive catastrophic events such as war. How do differences in physical experience influence our intellectual and mental perspectives on a range of ethical and political issues? How does the body respond to danger and how does this affect cognitive processes? What changes in your world view after the first shell explodes a few metres away? Nina plans to organise a series of meetings and interviews with local artists and activists in Berlin, Utrecht & Santarcangelo who also work with the themes of body/war, and also with Ukrainians, who relocated there because of Russia's war against Ukraine. The collected materials will be presented as work in progress during 3 festivals.© Kateryna Peryverzeva
